The search at the INCT
The sub-direction of research and development leads the search in the INCT, it‘s responsible:
- To give scientific and technical collaboration to achieve the objectives fixed in the plans and programs of search of the Institute;
- To conduct the search works into domain of geographic sciences (geodesy, gravimetry, precision leveling, photogrammetry, remote sensing and the computer application);
- To provide the scientific and technical support to the development productions structures of the INCT;
- Developing concepts, tools and software adapted to the needs of these structures;
- To promote the acquisition, the control, and the dissemination of scientific, technical and technological knowledge;
- To master and set up new techniques related to geographical sciences and their introduction into production process.

To ensure its missions, the sub-direction research and development includes:
- A department of search programs;
- A geodesy laboratory;
- A remote sensing and photogrammetry laboratory;
- A geomatic laboratory.
Works and scientific publications
- Several works of research and development are carried through theses and dissertation at various level made by people on the staff of INCT or external student at INCT.
- Several works of research and development are presented in the form of communication, national and international publications.
